Hello, my name is Gail Mattraw and I have been fortunate to be able to teach Physical Education at Hermon DeKalb since 1973. I presently teach classes to the students in Pre-K to 12th grades. Each Fall I run a 4th -6th grade after school soccer program and a recreation program for 5th - 8th grades. I always manage to keep busy and keep involved with kids.

Over the years I have worn many hats and have been involved in many activities. Some of these activities were coaching Girl's Modified and Varsity Soccer, Girl's Modified, JV and Varsity Basketball, Cheerleading and Modified and Varsity Softball. I presently volunteer to assist with the Varsity Softball team.

For 21 years I was the Director of Athletics and was involved with many activities with Section 10 and the NYS Athletic Administrators Association. During those years I met many interesting people and made many valuable friendships. Being Athletic Director is an experience that I will never forget.

In my free time I enjoy boating, kayaking, biking, swimming and gardening. I also enjoy attending sporting events at Hermon DeKalb as well as events in the area.
