Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students for the 2024-25 school year.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

The free breakfast and lunch that is being offered to students during the 2024-25 school year is the result of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) expanding access to the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP allows eligible schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs to offer school meals at no charge to all students.

À la carte items and extra meals remain available for students, but those add-ons will need to be purchased separately. Extra meals will be purchased at the following costs:

• Breakfast
  • All Grades: $1.35
• Lunch
  • Grades K-5: $2.10
  • Grades 6-8: $2.15
  • Grades 9-12: $2.20

Please consider filling out the Household Income Eligibility Form, as it provides additional benefits to families and the school district.

MySchoolBucks

Hermon-DeKalb Central School utilizes a convenient and secure online prepayment service called MySchoolBucks to deposit money into your child’s school meal account. This service also provides parents the ability to view your child’s account balance. Parents/families must sign up to use the service. Student ID is required to set up an account. Please contact the school if you need the ID number at 315-347-3442.

Alternatively, money can be sent with your student to school in an envelope that is labeled with:

• Cafeteria and/or Sonya Forbes' name
• The student's name

If it is not labeled, it may not get to the Cafeteria or the money may not be added to the right student account.
 

Please see the list below for meal distribution sites available through the Summer Food Service Program. Meals are provided at the school buildings during the times listed, unless otherwise noted.

All children aged 18 and under are eligible to receive meals at any location, regardless of their home address. No registration is required. For additional sites, please click here.

Lisbon: Monday-Thursday, 7/7-7/31

• Breakfast: 8:30-9 a.m.
• Lunch: 11:40 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Morristown: Monday-Thursday, 7/7-7/31

• Breakfast: 7:45-8:15 a.m.
• Lunch: 11:15-11 :45 a.m.

Gouverneur
Elementary & Middle School: Tuesday-Thursday, 7/8-8/14

• Breakfast: 9:15-9:45 a.m.
• Lunch: 11:15-11:45 a.m.

High School: Monday-Thursday 17 /8-8/20

• Breakfast: 7:45-8:15 a.m.
• Lunch: 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Hermon-DeKalb: Monday-Friday, 7/7-8/1 (Please see the Weekly Meal Pickup information from Edwards-Knox for options when service ends)

• Breakfast: 8:30-9 a.m.
• Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

Edwards-Knox: Monday-Friday, 7/7-8/3

• Breakfast: 8-8:30 a.m.
• Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

Weekend Meal Pickup: Every Friday from 1-2 p.m., starting July 7 and running through Aug. 3, you can pick up breakfast and lunch for the weekend.

Weekly Meal Pickup: Starting Aug. 4 and continuing through Aug. 31, families can pick up a full week's worth of breakfast and lunch for each child every Tuesday from 1- 2 p.m.

Colton-Pierrepont: Monday-Thursday, 6/30-8/19
