Seeks to Fill Vacant Board Seat

 The Board of Education is seeking letters of interest from community members who would like to be considered to fill the vacant Board seat created by the resignation of former Board Member Shawn DeLorme Jr.  The term of the appointment would be March 2, 2020 through May 19, 2020.

A Board of Education member must meet the following qualifications: a citizen of the United States, eighteen (18) years of age or older, able to read and write, a legal resident of the district, not an employee of the Hermon-DeKalb School district and not have been removed from a school district office within one (1) year preceding the date of appointment or election to the Board.

Your letter of interest should briefly outline why you want to be a Hermon-DeKalb Central School Board member.  Interested candidates should be prepared to attend the February 3, 2020 Board of Education meeting to participate in a public interview with the Board.  The successful candidate will take their seat at the first Board meeting on March 2, 2020.
