Basic Computer Knowledge Class

Computer, Tablet & IPad Assistance

Open to the Community

If you have a computer or are thinking it's time to buy a new computer, but your familiarity with modern computers is not what you would like, this is an opportunity to rectify that.  If you have a laptop computer, you are encouraged to bring it to this class.  However, it is not necessary.

The first half of classes will consist of a discussion covering subjects like:

  • Navigating Windows 10
  • Basic Cyber Security Practices
  • What to look for when buying a computer (hint, the brand name is not as important as the specs....which I will explain what that means).
  • Basic (very basic) terminology. (this is important so that if you encounter a problem, you can easier explain the problem to an IT person).

The second half of class will be a Q & A session, where there are no "stupid" questions.  This would also be an opportunity for possible demonstrations and hands on learning.

All classes will be held in the Computer Room across from the Library. (Follow the signs when you enter the lobby)

10/23 from 6-8PM

10/30 from 6-8PM

11/8 from 6-8PM (Thurs due to election Day)

11/13 from 6-8PM

Possibly more dates depending on interest.
